Power Planter® is exclusively distributed in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand by Brian and Kaylene Chapman who live in Sydney, Australia. (Dural to be exact)
Brian, a Horticulturist and Gardening Presenter discovered the product when they were looking for a way to plant thousands of bulbs across their Dural Property for a field of flowers project.
"Everything we had in Australia was hard manual work - there had to be something, somewhere in the world that could make the job easier"
It turns out there was. The Power Planters are made by the Niewold family who live in Loda Illinois in the United States. They have been making them for about 30 years but had never exported to Australia. You can watch a video where Brian visits their farm and meets 90 year old Wayne who first came up with the idea.
"The most exciting part of finding the Power Planters, wasn't just the bulb planting, it was being able to cultivate whole garden beds without having to use a mattock or crow bar! I knew that was going to make a lot of Aussies very happy"
Brian and his team rapidly grew the Power Planter business in Australia and then expanded into New Zealand, the UK and Europe.
"We now have a healthy customer base in New Zealand and the UK and have warehouses over there so their orders can be shipped without delay. It's fantastic to be helping so many people"
